Tempest to make festival debut!

The Tempest Animated film, produced by Year 7 students at Matravers School in Westbury, will make its festival debut at this years Kids 4 Kids festival in Durham on November 7th. The film project was mentored by Jamie McDine.

The latest happy couple to have their special day captured on film by Jamie are Christian and Beth, who got married on 6th August 2010 at Limpley Stoke Hotel. Below is an image of the couple enjoying their first outing as a married couple to Iford Manor.

Our Wedding!

What happens when a wedding videographer gets married to a wedding photographer? Well that's exactly what happened when we got married on July 16th!
Thankfully we were able to hand over the camera and video camera to our colleagues and friends for the day and then produce the wedding film from the footage shot. We got married at Old Wardour Castle near Tisbury, Wiltshire, and had our reception at Cleeve House in Seend, and enjoyed a fantastic wedding day with our closest family and friends - from England and Germany.

This is only a test post, as we are currently discussing the Creative and Media Diploma Unit 6 (Digital Technologies) and looking at methods for documenting the students work. This process sure does have its advantages, especially in terms of a safe storage location. Having delivered several sessions and workshops on the unit last year, I'm looking forward to working with the new Year 11s this September.

Shiny New Trophy!

An enjoyable day at the Shortwave Cinema in London yesterday was topped off by 3 Lions picking up the award for Best Documentary at the Kicks n Flicks Film Festival.

The 2006 England fan documentary was really well received by the audience in the South London cinema and was given the top award by a panel from the Football Supporters Federation and the Film Council. And it looks like World Cup Fever is certainly here, ready for the new tournament to kick off in South Africa next month.
